Terrific gluten-free baked goods used to be hard to find. But with brands like Against the Grain readily available, it’s easier than ever to maintain a grain- and gluten-free lifestyle without sacrificing quality, flavor, or the comfort of enjoying bread.

The History of Against the Grain

Against the Grain’s co-founder Nancy Cain came to gluten-free baking after her teenage son was diagnosed with celiac disease. After trying multiple baking mixes and finding so-so results when it came to texture and flavor, she cooked up her own recipes using simple ingredients and no xanthan or guar gums. In addition to freezer-friendly options, Cain published a gluten-free cookbook, Against the Grain, so everyone can make her family’s favorite recipes at home.
