Most “gas station” meat sticks are made with unhealthy, artificial ingredients. CHOMPS offers an alternative: jerkies made from high-quality, natural ingredients that taste great.

History of CHOMPS

CHOMPS founder and CEO Pete Maldonado grew up eating typical dried meat and jerky products - the ones you find at rest stops and convenience stores. Later on, he started to realize just how unhealthy and unfulfilling these snacks were. Packed with artificial additives and preservatives, they were practically composed more of chemicals than of real meat. Pete decided he wanted to change that. He created CHOMPS, a company that made meat stick products using healthy, grass-fed meat and other organic ingredients. Once he tasted his recipe, he knew he had a winning idea on hand. CHOMPS quickly grew in popularity, and now the company’s tasty treats are available across the country.
