The History of Halo

The Halo Pet Food story started with a very sick pet named Spot. When the premium foods the vet recommended weren’t helping Spot’s digestive, skin, shedding, and odor problems, the vet said they were out of options. But Spot’s pet parent consulted a nutritionist friend who noticed the difference between what’s in typical pet food—rendered “meat meals” — and the foods in their own kitchens. Using whole-food ingredients, they created what came to be known as Halo Spot’s Stew. Spot devoured it and soon his health transformed. When friends got wind of Spot’s transformation, they wanted to try the miraculous formula - and Halo was born.

Liv-a-littles Freeze-Dried Chicken Treats let you reward your pet with the taste and benefits of a high-protein snack. They can be given whole or easily crumbled and added to food as a tasty incentive at mealtime, and are great for cats and dogs! Freeze-drying uses a vacuum to remove moisture from frozen meat without thawing it, similar to the process for preparing raw food. The protein doesn’t shrink or toughen during the process, which makes it enjoyable to eat. Plus, our Liv-a-Littles freeze-dried dog treats and cat treats don’t contain the typical additives that dehydrated food does, and retain the nutrients that are generally lost in the process of dehydrating foods. Liv-a-Littles come in a portable easy to seal jar to keep them fresh. Give it a shake, and watch your pets come running!
