Ask your gluten-free friends about their favorite brands, and you might hear them mention Simple Mills. This beloved brand is known for being a staple for anyone with dietary restrictions, and with a lineup of wholesome, whole-food ingredients (plus some treats to enjoy, too), this brand is poised to become a pantry star. While many gluten-free packaged foods are made with fillers, chemicals, and preservatives, Simple Mills takes a different approach that’s wildly simple: If you don’t recognize the ingredient, your body won’t, either. This guiding principle is one of the reasons Simple Mills has reached stardom in the wellness world, even among people who don’t need to adhere to a gluten-free diet. Try them out, and you’ll see what we mean.

The History of Simple Mills

Katlin Smith founded Simple Mills in Chicago with the hope of changing the way America eats. It all started when she found herself working long hours, traveling, and eating whatever convenient foods she could find on the go. Smith felt tired a lot of the time, and a friend suggested her diet might be a factor. After paying more attention to the ingredients in so-called “healthy” foods she relied on, Smith decided she wanted something better. Ninety muffin recipes later, she settled on the first three muffin mixes and started Simple Mills out of her kitchen.

Simple Mills Company Mission

Simple Mills enriches lives and bodies through simple, delicious, real foods. They strive to make healthful choices easy by offering food that tastes great in the moment and nourishes your body for the long-term. They’re here to positively impact the way food is made, because they believe good health enables greater, passion-filled lives. Clean, nutritious foods, for a greater life. It’s that simple.

Benefits of Simple Mills

When you pick up something from Simple Mills—whether it’s organic frosting, crackers, or pizza dough—you can count on a few things.

Non-GMO Project Verified
Certified Gluten-Free
Paleo-friendly
Grain-Free
No fillers, soy, or artificial fillers

And here are some of the brand’s all-star ingredients:

Almond flour: Grown and milled in the U.S., almond flour adds moist texture while keeping recipes gluten-free.

Cassava flour: Cassava flour is another gluten-free all-star that adds a fluffy texture to many Simple Mills products.

Flax: Flaxseeds don’t just add crunch, but these little seeds are known for their nutrition, too (like protein, fiber, and vitamin E).

Coconut sugar: Instead of refined sugar, Simple Mills uses a sweetener that’s lower on the glycemic index scale.

Top Simple Mills Products

From muffins to cupcakes—or just some afternoon snacks—meet three of our top Simple Mills products.

Chocolate Muffin & Cupcake Mix

You’ll love the rich flavor of this mix for celebration cupcakes or morning muffins. Each box is made with only seven ingredients (like coconut flour and unsweetened cocoa)—just add eggs, water, oil, and vanilla to bake ‘em.

Rosemary & Sea Salt Almond Flour Crackers

Deliciously gluten-free and seasoned with the robust flavor of rosemary, these crackers are more addicting than we care to admit. Enjoy them alone, or as a base for tuna or dips.

Banana Muffin and Bread Mix

Banana bread is often off-limits on a gluten-free diet, but Simple Mills doesn’t think it should be. This mix is easy to whip together, and your kitchen will smell divine while the loaf bakes.
